Bedroom as Solace

some ideas and visual representations of some religious, esoteric, mythical and classical cosmology...

Modern science

The triple rhythm of creation, duration and destruction (Brahman the Creator, Vishnu the Sustainer and Kalaruda the Destroyer) is infinitely repetitive. Hinduism, India.

Another trinity... The Three Graces (Renaissance Christianity) that reconcile opposites.
Much like the Holy Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Father Time commands Death. Christianity.

Naturalism (and science?)

The Wheel if Sangsara (Becoming). passion, hatred and unconsciousness keep the wheel moving. The inner wheel is the world of Karmic existence.
The six outer segments depict six destinies of salvation.
The monster embracing the wheel is Anityata (Impermanence) which has the power to devour all existence. Tibet.

Dual basic rhythm of Universe: Yin and Ylang.
The timebound interation of these rhythms gives rise to all phenomena in the universe.
China

God creating the universe, and on it's completion, time. Sicily.

Personal cosmology projection

maybe peoples' personal cosmologies/inner belief systems, are organised and projected through how they dress? clothes and adornments.

clothes are firstly comfort and swaddling.
they are secondly a communicative device, to fellow humans as self expression or hierarchical devices, or to deities as respect.

designs and adornments can also be talismanic

Thoughts on the universe - Cosmology

So electricity (electromagnetism) is responsible for creating and sustaining all things and movements on earth... animals, vegetables and minerals and all the elemental forces and astronomical events.

Coral is animal, and vegetable, and mineral - so it exemplifies what electricity is capable of making on our planet. But to look at it you'd never know it - you always see it in display units in museums. sometimes with a backdrop recreating their 'original' habitat, assumed to be the sea.

A Renaissance and Classical cosmological view is that the planet earth (a microcosm) is a miniature reflection of the universe (a macrocosm). This is known as 'As Above So Below'.
A smaller IMAGE of the larger cosmos is SUPERIMPOSED onto the planetary structure.
